Environment

  • OS: Linux 6.x
  • Rust: stable, release mode
  • Criterion.rs 0.5 (1000 iterations, 5 samples)

What's measured

  • Serialization: pack + unpack one KSP frame
  • Throughput: encrypt/decrypt in a loop
  • Handshake: full protocol + TCP loopback
  • Memory: measured with valgrind massif
⚠ These benchmarks measure KSP in isolation. No comparison against HTTPS, TLS, or other production protocols is made. Comparing protocols requires identical methodology, hardware, and use cases.
